Ru Yi says "This work reimagines Bitcoin through the context of Greek mythology, to discuss the myths around cryptocurrencies. It deconstructs the painting 'Danaë and the Shower of Gold' by Titian which illustrates the Greek myth in which Danaë is seduced and becomes pregnant by Zeus from of a shower of gold. I collaborated with the poet Eriko Takeno to present Bitcoin in between the virtual and real, alluding to its seduction and deception."
